Alexandra Cantin, Cinematographer



Alex is a San Francisco Bay Area cinematographer and camera assistant who works in motion picture and video.

Her work has been shown at the BBC Short Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, France's Festival International d'Amiens. She produced and shot a short for the San Francisco International Film Festival featuring Robin Williams in a tribute to animator Faith Hubley. Alex's industrial client list includes Senator Tom Torlakson, Your Doctor Dot Com, and Chronicle Publishing. She is a historical interpreter at Angel Island's Chinese Immigration Station Museum and is currently working with the Angel Island Association to produce and shoot a documentary detailing the Island's rich history.

Alex holds a degree in Cinema and Theatre from San Francisco State University, is a contributing writer and photographer for FILM TAPE WORLD Magazine and is very fond of cows.
